Think positive

Hi all. Well I've sent 'The Mainstay' off to the publisher and I'll wait and see what happens.
I re-drafted the synopsis about ten times, realised that I'd left my e-mail address off the title page just before it was due to be sealed and sent, and after it was sealed wondered if I should open it and re-check everything again. Mad, I know. But it's like sending your first-born off to school and hoping that everyone will love them as much as you do.

The USA has it's first black president, history is being made as we speak. Wonderful. New year, new ideas, new everything. Anything is possible. I may even become a published author.

Think positive. That's my resolution for 2009. I don't usually make resolutions because I am not very disciplined with myself. If I promise to do something for somebody else I do it, no problem. But when it comes to me I tend to be a bit more flexible - as in - I'll do it later, there's plenty of time, and then have a bit of a mild panic when later comes around so sooooon, although, things still get done, so I tend not to get into a huge tizzy about stuff.

I think that being positive is a good thing and a great resolution to make; it's far easier to keep than giving up wine and chocolate or promising two thousand words EVERY day!

Deep breath. And chill. There, that's better.

Don't worry. Be happy! Sheila
