IT'S SNOWING. How sad am I? I'm like a kid when it comes to snow - I love it. Not too fussed on the slushy black stuff you get when people, cars, animals etc start treading all over it, but that clean virginal stuff is magic to the eyes. It seems so serene, so calming. Unless, of course, you are stuck in a traffic jam, late for work with no hope of getting anywhere soon.
We don't get the real, deep stuff very often around our way. So, when we get a good downpour that actually sticks I'm as bad as the kids. And, as far as the daily quota of thirty-minute walks can sometimes be a bone of contention, give me a bit of crunchy snow underfoot and I'll walk for ever - the imagination running riot; from poor souls lost in the blizzard to ice-maidens comething. Oh well, hope it lasts a while. Not too long though, I don like the sunshine too. But when the weather is like this what else is there to do than snuggle up in your comfie jim-jams and fluffy dressing gown and get stuck into a good book.
speak soon. Sheila
